Alexander Mediation Group
Alexander Mediation Group is a professional divorce mediation firm serving couples and families throughout Hamptons and New York. Together with the couple, the mediator addresses financial, emotional and legal issues of the divorce. As trained family law attorneys, we have both background and knowledge necessary to navigate the complex world of divorce.

As professionals trained and certified in an experiential, therapeutic modality, by the Focusing International Institute, we approach our process and clients with respect for their individuality and humanity. While working towards legal solutions, we also address practical matters to support clients in advancing through the critical transition of divorce.

Mediation is often significantly less expensive than a divorce. The cost of a contested divorce can vary widely, but some experts estimate that they start around $20,000, and go up from there. By contrast, mediation is a fraction of the cost. Traditionally, family law attorneys approach neither the family nor divorce holistically.

The answer varies for every couple.
Mediation provides couples an opportunity to address issues that have arisen during the course of their marriage and to determine new ways to manage conflict.
This allows them to consciously shape the future of their communication, relationship and family.
Whether couples determine to divorce or continue to work on their marriages, mediation enables participants to identify, express, and address their needs in an open and respectful environment.
Compared to the litigation process, the mediation process saves most couples money, and a sizable amount at that.
Contrary to adversarial divorce, mediation provides couples with the opportunity to process their thoughts and feelings on the various issues of their separation.
You come away feeling validated and intact (not defeated or devastated, as is often the result of an adversarial divorce).
With a mediator's help, you build an agreement, determining such things as parenting time, child support, equitable distribution, spousal maintenance and any other issues you deem important.
You make the decisions; your mediator provides their expertise, a framework of the governing law, and keeps the conversations productive and focused.
The NJ Center for Mediation Solutions seeks to assist separating and divorcing couples to work together in developing their own marital agreement, leading to a uncontested divorce.
At the NJ Center for Mediation Solutions, we believe divorce mediation is a kinder and fairer way to divorce.
It is faster, more affordable, and completely confidential.
Mediation is beneficial for children, reduces conflict, and avoids the huge cost of attorney fees associated with contested divorces.
Mediation minimizes the emotional distress of a contested divorce by giving both parties control over their lives and the divorce process.
I attended Rachel's support group on Zoom for the first time last night.
I did not know what to expect and was a little nervous especially given the private nature of the topic.
She made me feel welcomed and comfortable right away.
She had others share before getting to me which allowed me to get a sense of the meeting before joining in.
I then felt comfortable to share though I felt Rachel would have been understanding even if I hadn't chosen to share.
She has created a safe environment and she also gained both my trust and respect with her thoughtful feedback.
