Adam D. Roark is a graduate of Davidson College and the Wake Forest University School of Law.
In addition, he holds an LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Florida, the number two ranked tax program in the country.
In 2014, Adam was named one of the top Forty Under Forty business leaders in the Gainesville area by Business in the Heart of Florida Magazine.
Adam has devoted his career to helping clients better understand and navigate their business and estate planning options.
Accessibility and a willingness to take the time necessary to explain complex issues facing a business owner or the intricacies of Wills, Trusts, Durable Powers of Attorney, and other aspects of estate planning are the foundation of Adam's approach to practicing law.
Attorney Adam D. Roark began the Roark Law Firm with the belief that clients should be able to receive all-inclusive legal counsel quickly and efficiently.
Large corporations often employ their own in-house counsel to advise and direct management on the implementation of corporate strategy; manage the daily legal function of the corporation, and when needed, oversee the work of outside counsel.
Most small businesses don't have a need to have attorneys on staff acting as in-house counsel, nor can they afford to.
The Roark Law Firm recognizes that new and expanding businesses need a law firm that can utilize its knowledge and experience to aid in the selection of the most beneficial and appropriate legal structure for its endeavor.
The best foundation for any business is a structure that optimizes the potential for growth and economic success while limiting risks of collateral damage to equity holders if difficulties threaten the business.
The first step to business success is understanding how choosing the proper entity form will dictate the future of your business.
Getting into or out of your business without exposing yourself to unintended tax consequences or unnecessary liabilities takes careful planning and forethought.
When faced with the decision of how to sell (or buy) an existing business, many business owners are often unaware that the structure of such a transaction can have a lasting impact not only on the amount and timing of payment, but also what they will pay in taxes and the extent to which they remain liable for prior, current, or future issues.
Estate planning, more than almost any other legal practice area, is personal.
Though there are certainly laws and regulations that apply to everyone, how you choose to handle them and craft a plan that best works for you and your family involves a multitude of deeply personal choices.
Given the intimate nature of estate planning, it is crucial that you not only hire an estate planning attorney whose experience you trust, but who you believe understands and can help implement your wishes.
Estate planning tends to be a task people put off for the future.
