Tlin D. Akaln is one of three founding partners of ADZ Law, LLP, and a Certified Family Law Specialist.
Ms. Akaln uses her background in business management, civil litigation, poverty law, and domestic violence non-profit legal services to resolve cases in a cost-effective and equitable manner.

Ms. Alvarez came to ADZ Law, LLP after practicing family law for over 5 years, including work on behalf of domestic violence victims as an attorney at Bay Area Legal Aid and Community Overcoming Relationship Abuse.
While in law school, she was selected to be a member of Fordham's Stein Scholars Program in Public Interest Law and Ethics.

She has also served as the Director of Programs for the initiative on Armed Conflict Resolution and People's Rights, UC Berkeley.
She has worked with domestic violence victim-survivors for over 15 years in a range of capacities, including as an emergency room crisis counselor, an expert witness, an educator, and an attorney.
