Edward graduated from the University of Southern California and Whittier Law School. He began his career as a clinical instructor and course director at the Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC, judicial extern for the Honorable John E. Ryan of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California; and intern at Ford, Walker, Haggerty & Behar, LLP, dental malpractice department.

Many people believe that having a living trust will protect their assets from creditors.
Unfortunately, a living trust provides no asset protection for the trust maker during his or her life.
Upon the death of the trust maker, however, or upon the death of the first spouse to die if it is a joint trust, the trust becomes irrevocable as to the deceased trust maker's property and can provide asset protection for the beneficiaries, with two important caveats.
