Upon graduation from law school, and subsequent admission to the Kentucky Bar, Mr. Strause accepted a two year clerkship to Judge Joseph M. Hood, U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Kentucky.
After completion of the clerkship, he became associated with a large law firm in Louisville, Kentucky, focusing on civil litigation with an emphasis in business, healthcare, and employment law.
In the fall of 1994, Mr. Strause was appointed to Principal Assistant to the Commissioner in the Kentucky Department of Medicaid Services.

Jon-Michael J. Murphy joined Strause Law Group, PLLC in an Of Counsel position in 2012.
He attended the University of Louisville where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
Thereafter, he received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law.
While attending the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law, Jon-Michael worked as a law clerk for Bubalo, Hiestand & Rotman, PLC, a volunteer teacher for the Central High School Street Law Program, and volunteered in the Legal Aid Society's Self-help Clinic.
