Family mediation is a problem-solving process that gives individuals and family members the opportunity to reach amicable legal settlements. Mediation is a swift, cost-effective alternative that lets families settle probate matters in a collaborative setting where personal issues as well as legal issues can be dealt with. Taking cases to court is expensive and time-consuming, and it often leads to unsatisfactory results.
I am Darcia Tudor and I founded Eastside Mediation & Arbitration in 1995 to provide ways for litigants to resolve their disputes in a constructive, less expensive way that leads to fair compromises and more productive outcomes. My Kirkland, Washington practice includes mediation of disputes in collaborative and cooperative divorces, probate and guardianship disagreements and employment-related differences.
I bring more than 30 years of legal experience, 20 years as a mediator and 10 years as a licensed mental health counselor to the task of family oriented problem-solving.

Darcia could not have been more knowledgable and professional.
Her background as an attorney and with her Masters degree in counseling really helped.
Her knowledge of the law was beneficial when that was needed, and when the negotiations between my husband and I were strained, or slightly contentious, she handled things perfectly.
I was not fully aware of what I was entitled to after 25 years of marriage, and Darcia led us through the financial part of divorce in a way that both parties understood, backed up by facts and WA State law.
