If you have to go through a probate process, you'll want a lawyer who can get the job done in a timely manner, while keeping client stress levels as low as possible.
Probate is the court procedure for transferring assets out of the name of a person who has died, and into the names of that person's heirs.
If a probate process is required, it usually happens right after a death has occurred, while the decedent's loved ones are still grieving.
Probate involves complex paperwork, and takes many months to process through the court.
For the past fifteen years, Bob has served as an instructor of business law at Sierra College.
Bob started his legal career at Hershner, Hunter, Miller, Moulton & Andrews, a full-service business law firm that provided its new attorneys with training in each of its business departments: Business Organizations, Business Litigation, Bankruptcy and Debt-Creditor Matters, Public Law, Real Estate Law, and Estate Planning.
Whether you need advice on selecting a form of business ownership, such as incorporating, forming a limited liability company, or a general or limited partnership, or a sole proprietorship, we're equipped to give you the advice you need.

These are some of Bob Litchfield's thoughts on what could be done to improve our justice system.
1. Signing a Bankruptcy Petition.
Why is it all right to prolong a bankrupt debtor's shame by forcing him or her to sign his or her name at least eight times just to file a bankruptcy petition?
2. Bankruptcy and the FBI.
Is it appropriate to intimidate a bankrupt debtor by forcing them to give their testimony while facing a large "FBI prosecutes bankruptcy fraud" sign on the wall in a federal court hearing room?
