Godfroy, Wetzel & Horkey, PLC (GWH) began in 2012 as an spinoff from partners of its predecessor, Czeryba & Godfroy, P.C., which started in 1986.
William P. Godfroy, Robert Wetzel, and Christian J. Horkey were all partners in the former firm and when Dennis Czeryba retired, they formed GWH.
Rebecca Hicks joined the firm as an associate in 2016.
GWH is a multi-practice area law firm with more than 100 years of combined legal experience providing professional legal services and counseling.
Bill is one of the founding partners of GWH, having been an original partner in its predecessor, Czeryba & Godfroy, P.C.
He maintains a high-volume practice in criminal, divorce, probate, general civil, business, and municipal matters.
He is Legal Counsel for Ash Township.
Bill is also a highly sought after mediator for divorce, civil, and probate disputes.
Bill received his B.A. from Western Michigan University in 1974 and his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Toledo College of Law in 1977, where he was a member of Law Review.
Connie is a paralegal with GWH having extensive legal experience in personal injury law and Michigan's unique No-Fault automobile law.
She has also developed expertise in the area of probate and estates.
Connie is skilled in civil litigation matters and works with our clients and attorneys to achieve the best possible outcomes in our cases.
Connie graduated from Madonna University with a B.S. in Paralegal Studies with high honors in 1997.
She is married with three sons and is active in her church and local community.
GWH has extensive personal injury experience in motor vehicle crashes involving automobiles, trucks, motorcycles, and bicycles.
Michigan is a No-Fault state and most of these cases involve the complex No-Fault Insurance Act.
Persons involved may be able to receive economic benefits in the form of payment of medical expenses, lost wages, household assistance, attendant care, and mileage reimbursement for travel to medical providers.
