Washington Association Of Prosecuting Attorneys
The Washington Association of Prosecuting Attorneys was founded in 1975 and is a non-partisan, non-profit service organization dedicated to the training and support of county prosecutors. WAPA serves as a voice for county prosecutors at the state and national levels, and acts as a liaison between counties and other levels of government through research, training, and lobbying.

It is our mission to render support and assistance to the prosecuting attorneys of Washington State, and their staff. Support and assistance may be direct by providing services and materials upon request, or indirect by communicating with and assisting individuals and agencies who affect or influence the justice system.
Services
The Washington Association of Prosecuting Attorneys (WAPA) participates in amicus activities on behalf of prosecuting attorneys and other individuals whose safety and lives are impacted by the courts.
Through its amicus work WAPA "Seek[s] to reform and improve the administration of criminal justice and stimulate efforts to remedy inadequacies or injustice in substantive or procedural law."
