In January of 2014, the Law Office of James Rolland, PS changed ownership and became known as Atlas Law, PS. Elijah M. Forde worked at the Law Office of James Rolland as a litigation associate representing injured workers, their dependents, and survivors before the Board of Industrial Insurance Appeals and in Superior Court. Elijah is now the owner and Managing Partner for Atlas Law, PS.

Atlas Law focuses on providing timely, aggressive, and compassionate service to workers injured in Washington. The firm is currently based in Olympia, Washington, but we serve clients all across the state. We at Atlas Law have the experience and the passion to meet client needs and exceed their expectations. We have former Department of Labor and Industries adjusters, as well as former Department and Self Insured Employer attorneys on staff.

Below you will find some basic essential forms needed to manage and administer your worker's compensation claim.
If you are contending time-loss for a period of greater than 6 months, or in excess of $10,000, an Affidavit for Time Loss form may be required.
If you receive a pension, a Declaration of Entitlement is required every year, usually around your pension anniversary date.
If you receive a "dependent" or spouses pension, you are required to complete a different Declaration.

Workers' compensation pays for medical expenses resulting from an industrial injury or occupational disease.
Workers' compensation may also provide monetary benefits to supplement income lost as the result of an injury or occupational disease.
Employees do not have to prove negligence on behalf of the employer to receive benefits.
Additionally, employers are protected from lawsuits stemming from work related accidents or conditions.
If the disability is permanent or results in death, additional benefits may be available to the employee and/or their spouse and/or children.
