After graduating Pickens High School, Kevin pursued a degree in Funeral Service from Gupton Jones College of Funeral Service in Decatur, Georgia.
Later he obtained his bachelor's degree in business from Ottawa University.
In 2001 he purchased Roper Funeral Home in Jasper, Georgia and continues to own and operate it today.
Kevin also served as Pickens County Coroner from 2004-2016.
