Meyer has an extensive criminal trial experience.
Most people do not realize the consequences of receiving a conviction for a traffic offense.
All moving violations carry the potential of having points put on your driving record.
With as little as eight (8) points, you license could be suspended.
Convictions for violating traffic laws could also have an impact on your insurance rates.
There have been some significant changes affecting people who hold a commercial drivers license (CDL), what are some of these changes?
One of the biggest changes involves keeping points off your license.
Historically, someone who got a ticket could go through driver improvement school to keep the points off his/her license.
Now it doesn't matter if a person is driving a commercial or non-commercial vehicle.
Simply put, if you have a CDL and get a ticket, you will not be able to go through driver improvement school to keep the points off you license, even if the ticket you received was a result of driving your personal vehicle.
