I was fortunate to have a career prior to my legal education. While that career focused primarily in office management, I had multiple positions all over the state of Texas. I was licensed in Property/ Casualty, Health/ Life insurance and served as the document control manager for the General Contractor that built the ExxonMobil campus in Spring, Texas, which, at the time it was being built, was one of the top three largest construction sites in the United States.

However, a seed of interest in law had been planted years ago when I fought my own child custody case alone, without an attorney, and that seed grew into a passion for serving as an advocate for those facing legal troubles. With the encouragement of a local judge, I attended law school so that I could fulfill my dream of becoming a licensed attorney.

Now that my dream has become my reality, I am back in Palestine to serve the community I love.
Services
She is amazing.
Going through a rough time as a divorce can cause, she provided patience, understanding, and peace of mind.
I recommend Mrs. Collette for your legal needs.
I was struggling with a Class B Misdemeanor for almost 3 years and it turned into something bigger than it needed to be, Daylene only had a few hours to go over my case and she completely turned my situation around, gave me the guidance I needed and in the end my case was dismissed.
I wasn't too confident that my case would be dismissed, especially as quick as it did.
Daylene's passion for law was first realized while litigating her own child custody suit, years before she had even completed her Bachelor's degree.
It was through trying her own case that she became so intimately acquainted with the immense stress and heartache that is so prevalent in family law matters.
She understands that there is nothing more important in life than making sure our families are safe and secure.
Daylene's drive to become an attorney was so that she could help people in situations similar to her own.
Most of us understand that we, as people, have certain fundamental rights.
Those rights are never more at risk than when one is investigated or charged with a crime.
Choosing an attorney is the most important decision you can make to protect yourself.
Daylene has the knowledge and skills you need to help you navigate through the sometimes complicated legal mine field that is criminal prosecution.
On television, the criminal justice system spans about an hour from investigation through verdict.
However, in reality the criminal law is extremely complex and often drags on for months, those months spent with constant anxiety about the situation.
