I graduated from Colchester High School in Colchester, Vermont, the University of Vermont, and the University of Wyoming College of Law.
As the first college graduate in my family, I worked three jobs to support myself through college and volunteered my time in many campus and community organizations.
In law school, I was an editor of the Land and Water Law Review and was elected president of the Women's Law Forum.
My accomplishments while in law school included assisting in representing a client in a California death penalty case and receiving a unanimous faculty award as the National Association of Women Lawyers Outstanding Law Student.
