The duties of your criminal district attorney as prescribed by law are to represent the State in all criminal actions in Fannin County. It is the primary duty of all prosecuting attorneys not to convict but to see that justice is done. Our office has been entrusted to vigorously and fairly prosecute criminal cases and to protect victims, persons and property in a just and compassionate manner.

Our goal is to make Fannin County a community where all of its citizens-the very young and the elderly-without regard to their position or status in life, are safe raising their children in their homes, at work, in public, at their places of worship or anywhere in our county. Services
Fannin County Criminal District Attorney's Office's Victim/Witness Assistance Division addresses the needs of people directly affected by crime in Fannin County.
The program educates the crime victim and their family about the criminal justice process and provides information about social service agencies that can best handle their needs.
Additionally, the program helps witnesses navigate through trial process.
After a case is accepted for prosecution by the Criminal District Attorney's Office, a victim assistance coordinator sends an initial contact packet to the crime victim.
The Juvenile Division of the Fannin County Criminal District Attorney's Office prosecutes crimes committed by juveniles that are ages 10 through 16.
The Juvenile Division has jurisdiction over certain offenses such as truancy and runaway, but the bulk of the Juvenile Division's work consists of prosecuting major crimes committed by juveniles in Fannin County, including all felony offenses (up to and including capital murder), and all Class A and B misdemeanors.
The focus of the Juvenile Division is on the protection of our community, in both the short and long term.
The Misdemeanor Division of the Fannin County Criminal District Attorney's Office is charged with the prosecution of all Class A and Class B misdemeanor offenses filed within Fannin County.

It is designed to divert Veterans out of the traditional criminal justice process and into appropriate rehabilitative alternatives.
The North Texas Regional Veterans Court is the first regional veterans court program in the country, covering Fannin, Collin, Grayson, Rockwall, and Kaufman Counties.
