Our firm is dedicated to helping people who are injured at work get the medical treatment, compensation for time off work and compensation for permanent disability. With more than 40 years of experience, we use our expertise on the law and knowledge of the workers compensation system to aggressively pursue all of the benefits that are owed to our clients.
In 1986, David Schumaker became the managing partner of Finestone, Schumaker and Associates, the largest workers' compensation law firm in Ventura County. That same year, he founded the Central Coast Chapter of the California Applicants' Attorneys Association (CAAA) and served as President for two consecutive years. Edwin K. Stone then served as the President of the Central Coast Chapter of CAAA from 2016-2020.
Following in both Edwin and David's footsteps, Crystal now serves as the President and Erika as Secretary of our CAAA Central Coast Chapter. Edwin K. Stone was admitted to the bar in 1998. He initially represented insurance companies in the defense of workers compensation claims all over Central and Southern California, but since 2010 he has used that experience to better represent injured workers and advocate for their rights in Santa Barbara, Ventura, and San Luis Obispo counties.
