Broward County Women Lawyers' Association (BCWLA) is comprised of a diverse group of lawyers and judges. While BCWLA members vary in experience, areas of practice, gender, age, and ethnicity, we share the common vision that a successful legal community thrives on the commitment of its lawyers and judges to the legal and civic community. We offer local attorneys the opportunity to attend luncheons and other programs that we plan and host, to help lawyers develop their legal knowledge and professional skills.
We support our members as they seek opportunities to achieve leadership roles in the Florida Bar, and strive to reach their personal and professional goals. BCWLA members have the opportunity to learn, socialize, earn CLE credits, and share their knowledge, skills, and experiences with other members. While we encourage and support our members, we are also a voluntary Bar association that is committed to serving the Broward County community.
Through our members' hands-on efforts, we provide pro bono legal assistance to indigent clients, guide and serve as role models to young women in need, and raise funds and items like professional clothing and toys to donate to area charities.
