The Roehl Law Firm, P.C. was formed in 1976 and has a general civil practice, emphasizing litigation. Our clients range from large institutions to individuals. While each of our associates tends to concentrate in a particular area, our policy is that all our attorneys are familiar with other areas of law. Since its founding in 1976, the Roehl Law Firm, P.C. has been involved in many of the largest and most complex lawsuits filed in New Mexico.
Roehl first rose to prominence by defending the target defendant, the food manufacturer of the three-bean salad in the Clovis Botulism Cases, which involved the second largest outbreak of botulism in the history of the United States.
It occurred at the Colonial Park Country Club in Clovis, New Mexico, and which resulted in 35 people being violently ill and two deaths, with over 5 million dollars in medical expenses.
Mr. Roehl has extensive experience in litigation.
He has been lead counsel in cases before courts at all levels of the New Mexico and Federal systems, including the United States Supreme Court.
He has tried over 50 jury trials to a verdict and has a winning percentage of 85% of those cases.
He has had over 100 non-jury trials.
In a personal injury case, he set the record for the largest jury verdict ever in New Mexico when his clients were awarded over $12,000,000 in 1992.
Mr. Roehl has been involved in complex cases for some time in New Mexico.
