If you have been the victim of negligence, harm, or carelessness by another person, it is important to seek the advice of an experienced and knowledgeable attorney as soon as possible to discuss your legal options.
We pay for all professional investigators and expert witnesses necessary to build a solid and compelling case for you and your family.
A wrongful death suit is generally filed by the spouse, children, or sometimes by the grandparents of the deceased person.
Wrongful death laws allow the survivors of the deceased person to obtain financial compensation for the loss of their loved one, including loss of consortium (society and companionship), compensation for the income that person would have earned in their lifetime and payment of the medical bills.
Examples of suits for wrongful death include, but are not limited to, catastrophic motor vehicle collisions, catastrophic injuries, dangerous lands, roadways, and buildings, dangerous and defective products, medical malpractice and negligence, criminal acts, violent crimes and civil rights violations.
To understand what happens when the brain is injured, it is important to realize what a healthy brain is made of and what it does.
The brain uses these messages to perform functions.
The functions include coordinating our body's systems, such as breathing, heart rate, body temperature, and metabolism; thought processing; body movements; personality; behavior; and the senses, such as vision, hearing, taste, smell, and touch.
Each part of the brain serves a specific function and links with other parts of the brain to form more complex functions.
Civil rights violations occur when the wrongful conduct of any governmental employee, agent, or agency causes a personal injury to a person.
Some examples are the wrongful conduct of the police, of prison or detention center employees or of hospital or school employees.
If you have been a victim of a civil rights abuse, call the offices of Tiwald Law Firm for a free consultation.
We have been highly successful in representing victims of civil rights abuses, including police misconduct resulting in wrongful deaths, the sexual abuse and mistreatment of developmentally disabled persons and cases involving therapist sexual abuse.
