Orcutt Law Offices is committed to helping Georgia individuals and families plan for their future.
We understand that each family is unique and that estate planning is more than a set of instructions that tells the government who your property should go to after your death.
Our estate planning process is designed to understand your unique situation and goals and create a plan to pass your wealth, wisdom and values to your loved ones in the most efficient way possible.
By working with Orcutt Law Offices you can be confident that your estate plan will be current, take advantage of the latest planning opportunitues, and address your goals using an approach that makes sense to you and a strategy that you can be confident in.
After a loved one dies, it is usually necessary to begin the probate process.
Probate is the legal process in court of authenticating a will (if there is one), appointing an executor or administrator to oversee the estate, paying or settling debts, carrying out the wishes of the deceased, and transferring assets.
The probate process can be lengthy, often taking an average six months to a year to complete, and legal challenges against the estate can increase the time significantly.
The process can be time consuming, frustrating, and difficult.
Orcutt Law Offices is an Elder Law practice focusing on the needs of Georgia seniors and their families.
As a law firm, we understand that many seniors and their families need counseling to best understand their options to plan for and pay for long-term nursing home care.
This is because long term care expenses are typically not covered through traditional health insurance.
Our focus on Elder Law and experience counseling seniors and their families in the areas of long term care planning, Medicaid eligibility, and Medicaid crisis planning allows us to quickly and with compassion help families prepare for the financial and personal challenges associated with aging and the transition from independent living to skilled nursing care.
Whether you are starting your first business or have prior business experience, we are here to help ensure you have a solid legal foundation.
We provide counseling for your business from the type of legal entity best for your business needs and goals, appropriate state selection, proper financial structure, tax minimization, through legal protections from liabilities and succession planning.
We make sure you have the proper legal documents in place not just in forming your business but also in the day to day operations of the business with contracts, agreements, and human resources policies and procedures.
