No representation is made that the quality of the legal services to be performed is greater than the quality of legal services performed by other lawyers Federally Designated Debt Relief Agency The Federal Government has designated me a federal debt relief agency.

I assist people in filing for bankruptcy to protect their property and get relief from oppressive debts. McLeod is a consummate professional. I was devastated and depressed at the prospect of having to file Bankruptcy. The initial consultation with Ms. McLeod answered all my questions, and put to rest my fears. Vonda was very reassuring, and went above and beyond to answer my questions and lead me along the way.

I even had messages from her on the weekends. She is a very hard worker, and is truly there for her clients.

Bankruptcy is a federal court process designed to help consumers and businesses eliminate their debts or repay them under the protection of the bankruptcy court.
Bankruptcies can generally be described as "liquidation" or "reorganization".
Under a Chapter 7 bankruptcy, you ask the bankruptcy court to wipe out (discharge) the debts you owe.
Under a Chapter 13 bankruptcy, you file a plan with the bankruptcy court proposing how you will repay your creditors.
You must repay some debts in full; others may be repaid only partially or not at all, depending on what you can afford.
My office can help you with the following tax matters to get a resolution that is best for you.
If you have one or more of the following, contact me to get started.
You have been notified the IRS is about to start garnishing your paycheck, seizing your bank account or putting a lien against your property.
You owe a significant amount of IRS debt and wish to settle the debt for less than you owe.
The IRS has a complicated set of rules and timelines to dispute tax debt.
You need someone who knows the law so you don't miss deadlines for relief or "loopholes" which may be used to reduce your tax debt.
Chapter 13 is a way to pay back your creditors while keeping your property.
Chapter 7 is a way to wipe out your debts so that you do not have to repay them.
If you have filed Chapter 13 or Chapter 7, you will be required to complete a Financial Management course in order to get your discharge.
I recommend getting this done immediately after filing your case so that you do not delay getting your discharge.
You are under a duty to keep your contact information up to date.
Having correct contact information is essential to making your case run smoothly.
Your court hearing will be held in the Frank M. Johnson Federal Courthouse Complex in either one of two locations.
Please pay particular attention to the court notice you have received as it will give you the specific location of the hearing.
Showing up to the wrong location for your hearing could result in you missing your court date.
NOTE: The U.S. Marshal Service advises you that the possession and use of cellular telephones, laptop computers and similar electronic devices is prohibited in our courthouses.
