Courtney Stafford Hickey was born and raised in West Palm Beach, Florida.
A graduate from Wellington High School she then attended Florida State University.
Courtney graduated from FSU with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Literature and a minor in British Studies and went on to receive her Juris Doctorate from Nova Southeastern Law School in 2007 with honors.
In law school, Courtney specialized in litigation and performed her internship in Personal Injury studies under her father, Shane L. Stafford.

Subsequently, he was one of sixteen legal interns chosen from across the United States to represent The Insurance Company of North America, learning every aspect of the insurance defense industry for the next three years.
In 1984, he started working for a local law firm representing injured plaintiffs and their families, which he has done in Palm Beach County now for over 30 years.
He graduated from California State, Long Beach and subsequently attended the University of Miami School of Law until he graduated in 1980.
Subsequently, he was one of sixteen legal interns chosen from across the United States to represent The Insurance Company of North America, learning every aspect of the insurance defense industry for the next three years.

Brittney Cecilia Gutin is a life-long Floridian.
She attended the University of Central Florida in Orlando where she received a Bachelor of Arts with Honors in 2007 in Political Science with a minor in Italian Language and Culture.
Brittney then attended Florida International University College of Law in Miami where she received her Juris Doctorate in 2010.
Brittney started her practice undertaking family and criminal law cases with the firm of Longwell Lawyers in Orlando, Florida.
In 2013, Brittney relocated to Palm Beach County and then spent five years as a staff attorney with the Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County, Inc.
She attended the University of Central Florida in Orlando where she received a Bachelor of Arts with Honors in 2007 in Political Science with a minor in Italian Language and Culture.
