The E-Verify program authorizes employers to check the employment eligibility of their workers once they are hired.
One day the E-Verify program could become mandatory.
Our attorneys work with employers and esteemed Employment Law attorneys to put E-Verify programs in place that will protect them from exposure to liability.
Employers are required to verify employment eligibility for any potential hire and complete an I-9 Form once an employee is hired.
I-9 compliance is essential for any business as trivial mistakes could cost the company a fortune in harsh penalties.
Immigration Removal Defense is a "niche" practice that should only be handled by seasoned immigration attorneys as a small mistake could mean the difference between an order of deportation or getting to keep your greencard/stay in the U.S. The guidance of an immigration lawyer is particularly critical if you have been referred to immigration court.
Some foreign nationals end up in immigration court after they submit an application without first obtaining the counsel of a seasoned immigration attorney and others end up in immigration court after being arrested by the authorities.
If you are residing abroad or you do not qualify to have your greencard interview inside the United States then you will need to process your visa approval through the National Visa Center and the U.S. Embassy of the country where you reside.
Unfortunately, many clients see this process as an "easy" process of filling out forms and have unnecessary delays due to complications in their case.
The Consular Process is a labor intensive process that requires many hours of preparing visa applications, compiling and submitting the appropriate biographical and financial documentation to the NVC and later making sure the applicant has complied with all of the Embassy rules for their interview.
