Whether you have a disability that is preventing you from working, or you are the parent of a child who has a severe disability, or you have been struggling to get by on a low income, we can help. Together, we'll take the necessary steps to achieve your desired outcome. If you're part of the American workforce and you become disabled, you may be entitled to file for SSDI benefits.

We'll guide you through the process of filing and appealing an SSDI claim. Low-income individuals may be entitled to receive SSI benefits to assist with the costs of food, clothing, and housing. We'll help to determine your eligibility and guide you through the process. If your SSDI or SSI claim is denied, we can help you pursue an appeal. We'll help you gather the necessary documents and represent your voice in court to ensure you receive the benefits you deserve.

In 2011, attorney Maggie Schott founded her legal practice on the principle of treating every client with respect and compassion. She enjoys meeting with her clients one-on-one to discuss the details of their situations and their desired outcome.

Social Security Disability is a federal insurance program created by the United States government and managed by the Social Security Administration (SSA).
It is funded by payroll taxes and provides income supplements to those who are no longer able to work as a result of a disability.
Supplemental Security Income (SSI) is also a federal program funded by tax revenues and is intended to provide financial assistance to low-income individuals who need help affording food, clothing, and/or shelter.
Like Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI), Supplemental Security Income (SSI) is a federal program funded by tax revenues.
SSI benefits are intended to provide financial assistance for basic necessities such as food, clothing, and shelter for low-income individuals from vulnerable populations, such as those 65 or older, the blind, and those with disabilities.
Certain eligibility requirements must be met in order to receive SSI benefits.
If you need help filing for SSI benefits, or if your application has been denied, Schott Law is here to assist you.
